Time is the master, we say. Sometimes, we also say that time is money! Is time everything? Let’s discuss:

The importance of time and understanding the perception of time is essential to keep pace with it. I feel amazed when I see people say time is what your watch/clock shows? We are busy enough to give importance to what we don’t know about it.

Why is time important in our life?

An indefinite, but continuous progress of existence and events in the past, present, and future is regarded as a whole. Time is a constant process of life and activities that occur in apparently irreversible successions from the past, through our present, to the future. It holds that time is neither an event nor a thing. Thus, it is not itself measurable, nor can it be travelled.

Time also is the result of what you did in the past and what you can do in the future. What we have today is because of our history. What you will do today will be your future time. So we are wrong in saying that past, present and future is not connected. It is connected. These are just the events which define the time.

The phrase, “I don’t have time.”

Those who say, we don’t have time, actually don’t have the actual definition of time, or they don’t know what time is. Time is what you are. It’s your life, your days. I often feel that time scares you, nothing else.

We consider time as a bomb, and in that manner, we forget its importance. Time is a masterpiece; it is just to show how your day and night ends. That’s it! Time is only the division of our life span. As in, what to do when. Like day-part is for working, and the night-part is for sleeping. But now how long do we follow this process of time division.

It also shows what you feel. People say time teaches you everything. I don’t disagree entirely. However, I don’t completely agree. We say everything takes times. No, time shows us or your watch show you that we are wasting our beautiful life, by thinking on things that won’t even matter after few days, few months, or, a few years.

To live in the moment

You would have heard about this saying, “live in the moment”. We say that we have just one life to live, enjoy and more. But you also have one life to experience to do make an impact. There is a massive population on this planet. But how many are there who make a difference in this world or make a difference in their own life? Very few. We have few leaders.

The next big misconception is “Time heals everything.” This is, I think the most significant manipulation in the world. Time does not heal, but it helps us to show that it’s time that we start healing ourselves. We cannot sit down, seeing the watch and feel that things will take place on their own. We have to pick-up ourselves and do that work so that we can take care of the life that we have been blessed with. Time shows us that we have a beautiful experience, and we should not be wasting it because we can still do many things which we might have yet not done or achieved. We can even work and do our best. So, the thing is, you cannot stop or reverse or mend the days that are passing. In short, the time of your life is passing, so we are always asked to utilize the days completely in our life. We just want to use the time, and not to get scared of the time. But unfortunately, all the people in the world only have just made us afraid of time. None have made us understand its importance and reasons for the break.

Now, when I say break, I do not mean going on the vacations, or parties. To take a break is to break the routine that might be disturbing us from what we want to do in our life. This kind of break is necessary to organize your life, to understand how to tackle when things come up in life. How to deal with yourself when you have no one around you to take care of you? How to deal with stressful or toxic people?

So, the next time, when someone says that you are wasting your time. Say them that you are taking your time; and, not losing it. Some aspects want a lot of time to be given. Others need lesser time. But one thing is essential, you need a lot of understanding about yourself, of your situation, of your work and yourself to be on TIME.
